2025 Softball

Welcome to Amity Little League Softball

Registration officially closed as of 2/28/25, any new registrations will require a $25 late fee and participants will be placed on the next available team, no special requests.

Spring Registration Information

Softball Divisions are as follows:

Coach Pitch - league age 5-8

Minors - league age 9-10

Majors - league age 11-12

Juniors - league age 13-14

**Refer to Softball age chart to determine your daughters league age. Requests will be accepted for any league age appropriate girls that would like to evaluate to play up (league age 8 years olds evaluating for Minors and league age 10 year olds evaluating for Majors). Please indicate this request on your registration submission in "special requests/comment". While all requests will be considered, there is no guarantee that requests to play out of a league age division can be granted. The overall number of players registered will be the driving factor for placement of players requesting to play outside of their league age appropriate division. Player Agent (Lindsey Costanzo) and VP of Softball (Adam Dinihanian) will make final decisions based on the overall league needs.

Family Discounts are automatically applied and are valid across baseball and softball. If you use a debit or a credit to pay, please remember that the charge on your billing statement will say BLUE SOMBRERO. Parents who dispute charges resulting in a chargeback will be responsible for all fines/fees assessed to the league.

2025 Baseball/TeeBall

Welcome to Orange Little League

T-Ball

Overview

T-Ball is a co-ed league that is specifically designed to provide an introduction for both parents and players to baseball and softball that is based on developing sound fundamentals, physical fitness and, most importantly, having fun.

Each team will typically have two games a week in the fall, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Games will consist of a 15 minute practice followed by the game lasting +/- 1 hour. Practices are at the discretion of the Team Manager.

Games are typically 3 or 4 innings, but depends on the attention and behavior of the players. It is the discretion of the managers on how many innings the game should be.

Equipment

Each player should have their own bat, helmet and fielding glove.

Players should wear baseball pants to games. White is the most common color but is at the discretion of the player/parent.

OLL will provide each player and coach a team shirt and hat.

Coach Pitch

Overview

Coach Pitch level is specifically designed to provide the next step for baseball players after tee ball. At this level, players will continue to learn the fundamentals of baseball. Players will start to learn how to hit a ball slowly pitched to them by a coach. They will have approximately 5-6 swings to hit the ball. If the player is unsuccessful at hitting a pitched ball, a tee will be brought in for the player to hit the ball set up on a tee.

Games are played defensively with five infielders: Pitcher (wearing a helmet), 1st base, 2nd base, short stop and 3rd base. The remaining players on the defensive team will practice the basics of throwing, hitting and fielding in the outfield with a coach. The next inning the players that practiced in the outfield will occupy the positions in the infield and vice versa. The team on offense will bat through their entire line up before switching sides. Scores will not be kept. Games will last approximately 60-90 minutes.

Season progression guidelines

About halfway through the season, the following rules will be implemented for players to get accustom to the rules of the next level:

- If a defensive out is made, the player will be considered out and head back to the dugout

- If a player is unable to hit a pitched ball after 5 or 6 pitches, the tee will not be provided and the player is considered "struck out" and will head back to the dugout

Easterns

Our Easterns Division is designed for league age 9 and 10 year old players.

The Easterns division follows the Little League Rules, Regulations and Policies with some modifications. Those modifications can be found here.
